Skilled hands Quick work

Trained and experienced — it shows in how steady the work is.

Quick. Appointments are usually over sooner than people expect, which is also what makes them easier to sit through.

What your first visit looks like

1You arrive

By appointment only, so there is no waiting room full of strangers. Come as you are — there is nothing to prepare beyond the hair length below, and I will take care of the rest.

2A private room

Every service happens behind a closed door, one client at a time. It is just you and me, and nothing is rushed.

3No payment today

A card holds your spot but is not charged when you book. You pay in the studio when your appointment is done.

Face waxing

Quick, precise tidy-ups — most take ten minutes or less, so they fit easily into a lunch break or onto the end of another appointment.

Men's waxing

Men's waxing is a regular part of the day here, not an exception. Same private room, same unhurried pace — just book the area you want.

Prices are in CAD. Prices subject to change without notice.

Before & after your visit

Before you come in

Let the hair grow to about 1 inch (25 mm), roughly two to three weeks. Shorter than that and the wax has nothing to grip.

Please do not shave between appointments. Shaving resets the growth cycle and makes the next wax less effective.

If anything about your skin has changed, or you are not sure whether waxing is right for you just now, give Annie a call or text before you book.

Afterwards

For the rest of the day and the one after, skip sun and tanning, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools.

Start moisturising daily once the first day has passed.

From about three days on, exfoliate gently two or three times a week. It is the best thing you can do to keep ingrown hairs away.

How often

Most people settle into a four to six week rhythm. Sticking to it matters more than you would think: waxing on schedule catches the whole growth cycle together, so over time the regrowth comes in finer and the appointments get quicker.

Common questions

Does waxing hurt?

Less than most people expect, and it gets easier every time as the hair grows back finer. The first appointment is usually the most sensitive one, and Annie works quickly, which helps more than anything else.

How long does the hair need to be?

About an inch, or two to three weeks of growth. Any shorter and the wax has nothing to hold on to, so it is worth waiting a few extra days rather than coming in early.

It is my first Brazilian. What should I know?

Come with two to three weeks of growth and skip the razor beforehand. The studio is one private room and it is yours for the whole appointment. Most people are surprised how quickly it is over.

What can I do about ingrown hairs?

Gentle exfoliation two or three times a week, starting a few days after your appointment, is the main thing. Keeping the skin moisturised helps new hair break through instead of curling back in.
